Eager to Get Your Inspection or Repair Services Booked? Consider These Appointment Tips

Here at Brickliners Custom Masonry & Chimney Services, we pride ourselves on being easy to work with and reliable. But there are a few things you can do ahead of your appointment to ensure we’re able to do our job effectively and efficiently.

Schedule Early

We want all of our customers to keep in mind that the earlier in the year you schedule your appointment, the better off you will be.

In most cases, getting you your desired appointment time in late spring or early summer is never a problem. So by scheduling then, you ensure yourself the fastest service possible.

What happens if you wait?

Well, the biggest concern with scheduling chimney and fireplace maintenance in the fall or winter months is that this is our busiest time of year. Because of that, convenient and fast scheduling is not something we can guarantee.

Most customers forget about their chimney inspections and maintenance until it’s cold out, so we get lots of calls on those first chilly evenings of the season. And while we try to get to everyone as quickly as possible, if you schedule late, you could be waiting weeks before we can look things over.

Also, keep in mind that, should we find damages, we’ll have to book an entirely new appointment, which would put your cozy fires on hold even longer! And if we don’t discover damage until we’re in the holiday season, you’re really looking at a lack of festivity and warmth.

To ensure you’re all set and ready to go when that first cold day of the year arrives, schedule your appointments earlier in the year. That’s when we can guarantee you get the fast service you deserve.

Once You’re Booked…

Now, once your appointment time is reserved, there are a few other things to consider to ensure that the inspection, sweeping, or repair process goes as smoothly and seamlessly as possible.

  1. Do not use your fireplace for at least 24 hours prior to our arrival. A system that is still hot from a previous fire is not safe for our sweeps to work around. By leaving everything shut off for a full day, every part is guaranteed to be cool, so we can take care of things for you fast.
  2. If you own a wood-burning system, please remove your ash from the fireplace. This ensures we’re able to get to work right upon arrival, and it helps to significantly minimize any mess, too. Our sweeps greatly appreciate it!
  3. Move any items surrounding the fireplace away from our working space (we ask for a 4 – 5 foot clearing area). Why? Basically, it helps us keep your belongings as safe and protected as possible, and it allows us the space to get our job done quickly and efficiently. This goes for pets, too! Please help us out by keeping them safely away from our working area.

Once those things are done, you can go about your day while we take care of the rest! It feels good to know your appliance in the hands of trusted experts. And for folks in Windham, Sebago, Gorham, Standish, and the surrounding areas, that’s exactly the kind of peace of mind we offer.
